Celest acquired her BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2009, and is currently specialising in functional neurology. She teaches yoga online through her app Anatomove, and runs regular education based workshops internationally. In these she takes current scientific research and anecdotal advice from senior healthcare providers to improve the performance of individuals in the context of movement. She co-authored the book Too Flexible to Feel Good, a book designed to help people who struggle with hypermobility. She also has a podcast, Love At First Science, where she has interviewed people that use science to change the way we see the world. Day to day, her specialism is working with post concussion rehabilitation.

Spend the weekend with her:

Friday 18:00-20:00

Neural Flossing for Splits

Nerves are the information links from the brain to the body, but their function can be impacted for a variety of reasons. In this workshop we will explore the various nerves of the body and how we can use neural flossing, a remarkable tool, to improve pain and function and YES, get you deeper into the splits. If there are certain poses in yoga, such as splits, that are outside of your capacity then this workshop might provide the insight needed to break through and master them.

Saturday 11:00-13:00

Yoga Myths

Yoga is a true art form that has been influenced by many over the centuries. While much of the science is transformational, there are some aspects that need revision and a fresh outlook. This workshop will explore some of the old (and new) myths that have been perpetuated for many years, and we take a closer look at the cutting edge science shedding new light on these concepts.

Saturday 15:00-17:00

Deeper Than Ever Before

This workshop is a fun flow that weaves in the anatomy of the spine, shoulders and hips, and how to use these structures effectively in backbend poses. We will also explore various brain drills to help the body go deeper in a variety of backbend poses. By using aspects of your anatomy that lie above the neck (that is in your brain) you'll be amazed at the benefits in the rest of the body.

Sunday 10:00-12:00

Brain Drills for Inversions

Are you someone that has struggled with inversions? Or do you want to take what you can do to the next level? This workshop is an inversions workshop like no other. In it we will explore how targeted neurological drills can help to amplify your skills in minutes, not years! We will explore the visual and vestibular systems, alongside traditional anatomical structures to give your nervous system the ideal platform to thrive.
